This transparent rule-based guide explains why it suggests a path. It is not a remote repair diagnosis.
Battery safety: do not put damaged, swollen, leaking, or hot lithium-ion batteries in household waste, puncture them, or attempt to open them. Keep away from flammable materials and contact an authorized collection service or local authority.

Results come live from OpenStreetMap’s Overpass service. A map record is not proof of every accepted item: confirm hours, acceptance and battery rules with the service before travel.

Generic, original conceptual model. Select parts, isolate them, use exploded view and complete a component activity. The same information is available in text.

This visualisation uses the Global E-waste Monitor 2024 global totals, with values labelled as reported estimates. It is a small, documented starting point—not a live measurement.
Source: UNITAR/ITU, Global E-waste Monitor 2024. 2030 is a published projection.
Totals are global estimates and should not be used to infer a local facility’s capacity or an individual action’s impact.

The recommendation guide is intentionally rules-based. Image identification requires a documented, evaluated model before it can make a prediction; this site does not label uploaded images without one.
Manual category correction is always available. No image is uploaded or retained by this static application.
Ask a question about the published ReduCycle lessons. Responses use the local lesson material and do not claim external verification.
Before classification launches, we will publish its dataset, split, preprocessing, baseline, evaluation and limitations. Do not infer model performance from this interface.

ReduCycle began as an IB CAS project. It combines device-life guidance with technology education without invented partnerships, locations or impact claims.
